John Bonham is my all-time favorite drummer. Not that I’m unique, but just sayin’.
At last year’s Bonzo Birthday Bash (who knew this existed?!?) Natal Drums created this Amber Acrylic kit to pay homage to Bonzo’s classic Ludwig Vistalite drum sets. These drums are inspired by the kit Brian Tichy and Natal developed for the Bonzo Birthday Bash concerts. Tichy’s love for John Bonham’s playing, and his favorite band, Led Zeppelin, inspired him to stage four Bonham Bashes, the latest in May 2012 featuring 22 drummers including Steven Adler, Seven Antonopoulos, Carmine and Vinny Appice, Frankie Banali, Gregg Bissonette, Bobby Blotzer, Fred Coury, Jimmy D’Anda, Virgil Donati, Troy Patrick Farrell, Troy Luccketta, Ray Luzier, Khurt Maier, Roy Mayorga, Mike Portnoy, Rikki Rockett, Mark Schulman, Matt Sorum, Glen Sobel, Brian Tichy, Joe Travers, Simon Wright, and Yael. That same concert inspired this issue and our giveaway promotion.
I really need this drum kit because I have a band but no instruments.
