Win a Fuzzrocious Rat King Pedal

Fuzzrocious Rat King Giveaway
Back when I was in college I worked for Pro Co Sound in Kalamazoo, MI, makers of the RAT pedal. Pro Co currently shares factory space with Heritage Guitars in the old Gibson building, but I worked in the original factory, and spent plenty of time in the basement that served as the birthplace to the RAT.

The RAT has always been a very mod-able pedal, and there are many pedal builders who have based new pedal designs off the original RAT, taking its tone to the extreme. One such company is Fuzzrocious, who builds the Rat Tail and Rat King (see below for more details). Fuzzrocious has teamed up with BassEFX and EffectsBay on a new Rat King giveaway! This pedal sells for $210, so if you’re a fan of the vintage RAT tone, and want a chance at this updated and upgraded version, make sure to enter!

More About the Fuzzrocious Rat King Pedal
The RAT KING is the suped-up version of our RAT TAIL. The idea behind this monster is to save some board space by kicking a couple of other pedals off of your board! This is three pedals in one: a RAT TAIL, a second RAT TAIL (through the 2nd distortion setting), and a momentary feedback loop. The middle footswitch lets you jump between 2 distortion settings (ex. – low gain/high gain) and it has an LED indicator so you know the 2nd setting is active. The momentary feedback loop is adjustable (we can make this latching for you noise junkies out there). The diode knob (Di) blends between LEDs and silicon diodes AND you can use the toggle to bypass the diodes (great for bassists or for a more ‘open’ sound). The double resistor mod found on our RAT TAIL is also included to allow you to fine tune your sound and control how the ciruit clips by clipping more on just the highs, just the lows, or anything in between.
