Swarvorski Encrusted Cry Baby Wah Pedal
And what is a gold standard product deserving of? Its own documentary, of course. “Cry Baby: The Pedal That Rocks The World” looks awesome! Featuring interviews with Cry Baby disciples like Slash, Eddie Van Halen, Zakk Wylde, and Buddy Guy, this movie chronicles the ups and downs of the wah pedal, and includes some amazing rock ‘n’ roll photos!
Right now you can watch all four parts of the film for free on the documentary’s website, and on April 11 the entire movie will be available to view in its entirety.
Now, if I could be a fly on the wall in the Dunlop conference room, I’ll bet a recent conversation went a little something like this:
- Guy #1: Hey, this killer movie about the Cry Baby is about to come out. What should we do to celebrate?
- Guy #2: Let’s give away a pedal.
- Guy #1: Good idea, but I think we need to go bigger.
- Guy #2: OK….how about we take a Cry Baby and cover it in diamonds.
- Guy #1: I like where this is heading, but I don’t think we can get Jim to sign off on the expense.
- Guy #2: Hmmm…..Let’s take a Cry Baby and cover it in Swarvorski Crystals.
- Guy #1: Love it. Let’s go to lunch.
Kidding aside, I WANT this thing on my mantle or maybe the hood of my car. It’s pretty awesome!
Only a handful of these pedals were made, and each has approximately 5,500 Swarvorski stones hand-placed from head to toe. Each unit is signed by the man behind Cry Baby: Jim Dunlop himself. Oh and one could be yours.
